Expanded rules and hobby ideas for the board game of dungeon fantasy football
If you are reading these pages, chances are that you either already play or have played Dungeonbowl as a game, or that you are interested in maybe trying it out sometime. This page is all about helping you out if you belong to the second group.
Most people that find out about Dungeonbowl already know about Blood Bowl, the game that Dungeonbowl is a variant of, and also know about Games Workshop the company and their brand. If not: Games Workshop is a UK-based games company that has been a pioneer in the field of miniature hobby games, which are board- or wargames that are played with hand-painted hobby miniatures. Their most well-known games and game universes are Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000.
Blood Bowl, the game of fantasy football, is set in a world based on the world of Warhammer, but given a twist of parody by making the game world all about a comedy fantasy version of modern day American football culture. You can read more about the background of how Blood Bowl gave birth to Dungeonbowl on the page Dungeonbowl Background.
The basic assumption of Dungeonbowl is that you already know and have played Blood Bowl, and have access to the rules and materials in it before you set out on a Dungeonbowl adventure. However, even if you do not, the page What you need to play Dungeonbowl will explain everything about the practical stuff you will need to acquire before you can play the game.
